TeamDynamix Launches iPaaS with Process Automation, Codeless Workflow Builder
TeamDynamix is combining iPaaS with visual tools for APIs and process workflows. The aim is to eliminate as much coding as possible from complex integration and process flow tasks.
TeamDynamix is shipping an integration platform as a service (iPaaS) combined with a visual workflow builder. The focus is to deliver a codeless approach to integration and processes help organizations more easily cope with their diverse and distributed set of apps and data.
TeamDynamix TDX iPaaS sports a strong library of out-of-the-box connectors which let organizations struggling with APIs, disparate apps and scripts harmonize data, orchestrate data and automate workflows. It also comes with a codeless visual workflow builder. This combination means “connecting the dots [has] never been easier, workflow [has] never more in reach.” states a quote on the company website.
The TDX iPaaS platform extends connectivity to support both API app and data endpoints, as well as special support for process automation. “We see a big issue with enterprise connectivity,” said TeamDynamix chief product officer Andrew Graf. “After conducting extensive research, discovery interviews, and open forums on the topic of integration and enterprise wide workflow, we came to really understand the fundamental challenges faced by our customers and have built a platform with these in mind.”
For example, to promote “drag-and drop flow creation,” the TeamDynamix iPaaS flow builder requires no coding and no scripting. Without complex coding, users can bring PowerShell scripts into flows, trigger action from risk alerts, and even incorporate ticketing or project data to initiate automation, Graf added.
The company shared the details on these core capabilities:
Visualize flows: As users build them they can easily create and watch workflows that execute against real company date. This is done by simply by grabbing data elements and trigger a subsequent action. Users can also manage and test flows with a visual helper.
Trigger action and automate processes: Users can trigger actions from a connected ERP/SIS, access permission management, user management and automate service restarts. When a system alert signals a system is down, users can automatically start the service-restart process.
API Management: Easily spin up a new connector to an existing API with secure access and API governance. Track API usage; rapidly create new APIs; make APIs available to all who need them; create composite APIs.
To support special situations, TDX offers connector libraries for specialized markets such as higher education, K-12, government and healthcare.
TeamDynamix TDX iPaaS also is designed to deliver automation and simplicity to securing APIs, A recent TeamDynamix blog post entitled Using APIs Without iPaaS Puts Your Business At Risk details why such support is of growing importance to the distributed enterprise:
The use of application programming interfaces (APIs) is critical to many businesses and organizations – providing the necessary connections between software components. On average, businesses manage more than 300 APIs. Unfortunately, APIs have a number of vulnerabilities that cyber criminals love to take advantage of.
So how can you keep the critical functionalities of your APIs, but ensure the security of your most vital systems? The answer is implementing Integration Platform as a Solution (iPaaS).
In short, iPaaS is a tool that gives anyone in your organization the power to know which APIs are being used and where. You can check that they are secure and performing as intended from one centralized hub. You no longer need to wait until an API breaks to know there’s an issue.
You can fix it centrally and mitigate any security risks in the process.
In addition, iPaaS provides the ideal environment for implementing regulation compliance through a single environment.
In the TeamDynamix iPaaS solution, for example, you can take advantage of the following advanced security and compliance features:
- Authentication through OpenID Connect, Active Directory, and OAuth
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA compliance
- Advanced API logging capabilities
You don’t want API chaos to be the reason your business is at risk. Cyberattacks are expensive, with the average cost of an attack approaching more than $4.6 million per incident.
Analysts have long supported the business case for iPaaS, and one in particular finds the state of iPaaS technology can now deliver control and security.
“The current model of point-to-point integration is simply not secure, fast, flexible, or consistent. Point-to-point integration is an evil that builds up overtime due to ongoing business changes and a lack of integration strategy”, Director of Research & Advisory at Info-Tech, Rajesh Parab. “With the emergence of iPaaS, organizations are migrating to a controlled and secure method of integration and workflow.”
